The Flower Works

Marigold20

And so beckoned the hazy sunshine,

To take a lazy stroll down the grassy path.

Cinerarias

A burst of colors making a royal tapestry,

To show off their rich velvety freshness.

Sweet Alison11The sweet Alison with her dewy earthy rushes,

Made an enigmatic welcome into the virgin foliage.

Blue Cinerarias1

A blossoming dome of blue Cineraria

Winked merrily… jealously guarding her secrets.

Cabbage Rose1_20150225151212607

There was a cabbage patch to be spied,

Proudly camouflaging as a blooming rose.

Dahlia Pink4

Pirouetting like a ballerina was the majestic Dahlia,

Glistening merrily under her leafy green umbrella.

Marigold13

Tucked in the rambles was a school of Marigolds,

In rapt attention of their mysterious readings.
Marigold14

Except a naughty one lounging in the bulbs,

Quietly basking underneath the honeyed rays.

Petunia1

Flirting on the right was the silvery Petunia,

In full splendor of her grace and alluring suggestions.

Pansy2Vying for attention with her delicate charisma,

Enticed the amethyst and amber clad Pansy flower.

Dahlia1

The towering and glowering Dahlia sister,

Was standing tall and proud in the white lights.

Marigold7

A calming presence in her dusky cove,

The Marigold shared her wisdom to the observant eye.

Pinks4_20150225152932360

The invigorating Pinks made irresistible offers,

With the plump strawberries nestling in frosty cream.

Livingstone daisy3_20150225152033867A triumphant finish lay in the Livingstone Daisies,

Seducing with a tempting roll in their soft feathery beds.image

A meandering walk into the unseen magic,

Painted a different view on the canvas of the wild.

An evening this weekend presented me with these gems, and obviously the poetry simply could not stop flowing. These photographs have been clicked with my humble S4 Mini.

  2. Either you were strolling in a nursery, or your images are from your archive, blossoms from the past, held up like beauty contestants, matched by your poetics. I, too, enjoy matching words to photos I have taken; yours were masterfully done.

    • Believe it or not, this was a lane. Pretty houses on each side. All photographs taken last weekend on a walk. Thank you for your appreciation 🙂
