Some Work and A Little Play

This month has probably been my poorest WP performance! Most of the times I manage to be a silent stalker, but this time there were days when I even forgot to open my blog. Things have been rolling from the start of the year – oh so many things on every front πŸ™‚ Personal, Work, Travel, Food!

I have been enjoying every minute of it, even though there are times when I am barely catching my breath and processing things around me.

D was out of the country for a couple of months and is back now – I am finally close to understanding 0.1% part of what being married means. Only a few more years till I get to 2% I think! We managed a flash trip to Dubai which was pretty cool – Burj Khalifa, Desert Safari, Madinath Jumeirah, Ibn e Batuta Mall and a lovely date night by the beach at Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR)Β being the highlights (hope you enjoy the photographs)

Burj Khalifa

We came back only to be hustled off to weekend family getaways and a visit to my hometown – Ahmedabad before it melts off in the sweltering heat. I thought it would beΒ a different experience visiting them with him after the wedding – it wasn’t. I just had to fight hard for my share of pampering with him around to steal my parents’ attention πŸ˜€

Madinath Jumeirah

Work wise, I think I am finally in a place where I am finally confident aboutΒ exploring my capacity and take on newer things. I hope things go the way they have been rolling πŸ™‚ But before I free fall into my work in the coming year, I am off on a much-anticipated long vacation!

Madinath Jumeirah 1

France… Here we come!! πŸ™‚ A little over two weeks in French paradise …. covering parts alongΒ CoteΒ d’azur, Alsace and Paris! We will be in Paris for Easter before heading back home. I am looking forward to the blooming spring, cozy homestays, pretty streets and of course, the wine! Add the cheese and chocolates to the bag and I might just discover the true purpose of my life πŸ˜€ Red nose and a few more extra pounds around my waist is a small price to pay!

I will try to keep up with posts as and when I get WiFi πŸ™‚ The next two weeks will be a different source of inspiration I hope.

Meanwhile, please give any suggestions, recommendations around tours, restaurants, day trips or sights. We have a very flexible itinerary …. Rolling where our hearts and maps take us πŸ™‚

  1. Well have fun that’s the motto.. And when you are in France which is so beautiful as such then fun becomes more FUN..

The pics look lovely .. all the best and enjoy…..

  2. Hey!! Prajakta..its good to see you back and have a great trip ahead.
I want to know more about your travelling destination France as in near future i will be looking forward to visit this beautiful place.

  3. Go wherever your heart leads you, but remember to stop as often as possible and observe; notice; listen; sense; feel; smell; see between the highlights; look beyond the immediate; visualize the history, but also absorb the present.
I spent a few hours (wish it were longer) in 1966 sitting near the Champs Elysee, and with a clear view of the Eiffel Tower and just absorbed everything. It was a wonderful experience. It takes will power to avoid getting drawn into a high speed tour of the tourist spots, after which you have seen everything……… but absorbed nothing! Have a wonderful time! πŸ™‚

    • That is exactly our plan, Colin! We don’t want to rush through sights and just reduce them to a list to be checked off. It’s okay to slow down and just take in the moment and simplicity of it πŸ™‚ Thank you very much! Hope you get to make a trip to France soon – Ray might just go over the moon πŸ™‚

  4. Travelling is the best thing to do as its a thing to experience. I am glad that you’re having one of the best time of your life. Keep enjoying and keep sharing, Prajakta. πŸ˜€

  5. This is so awesome Prajakta. I am very happy and excited for you. Have never been to Europe myself, but have heard that springtime in France is absolutely beautiful.

You also got to see so much on your flash trip to Mumbai. So incredible.

Safe travels my friend. Hope you have a tremendous experience! πŸ™‚

  6. Travelling to your heart’s content. That sounds great! March had been the worst month as far as my blogging journey is concerned…too much work pressure. But now, as FY is over, I’m hoping to be back with my regular blogging routine… πŸ™‚

Enjoy your tour and share your experience with us… πŸ™‚

  8. Wow! I wish we Americans could enjoy taking long vacations as often as everybody else in the world does! On the flip side, at least by your description, marriage and career development are pretty similar everywhere. I look forward to more stories from all facets of your life as in some ways i see a version of my younger self in you.

    • Thank you so much πŸ™‚ That was an unexpected observation and I hope I am able to come through atleast halfway to your experiences in life!

P.S. I thought Americans have more leave days… perhaps you can nudge your manager a bit and just take off!
