World Before Us

Light spring in our footsteps,

Armed with a worn map and curiosity,

We embark on a journey of lifetime

Promises to create new memories

.

Whistling roads and dizzying skies,

We make ourselves a grand present

Of the entire world sprawled before us.

Peculiar bumps full of possibilities.

.

Oh! To become a speck in the horizon.

To lose away meetings and deadlines,

Material obligations and futile burdens,

Internal collisions and emotional barriers.

.

We wipe our slates luminously clean,

With raucous music and wacky photos,

Peals of laughter and dirty inside jokes.

Swapping absurd ideas and life dreams.

.

An opportunity to drill and build,

Like a phoenix rising from ashes,

To embrace a new canvas on ourselves,

Painted with shades yet unknown

Travel is not a temporary blind eye to the real world – it is closer to reality than I will ever be. My long-due vacation starts 🙂 Will be off the grid for a while – be back soon to read and share!

I will leave you with one of my favourite songs –
